Susie-Melissa Cherry, Founder and President of Calligraphic Arts Design Studio and Gift Wrap Studio, has gained international recognition as a Master Calligrapher. Her love for calligraphy is revealed in the intricate and delightful detail found in all of her handiwork. In addition, she is celebrating 47 years as a calligrapher! Susie-Melissa discovered her amazing talent as a scribe at the tender age of thirteen. Her unique talent and expertise are well known and the client list reads like a Who's Who of Dallas, America, and the International Community. Susie-Melissa's work has been commissioned by The White House, Buckingham Palace, the Vatican, and numerous celebrities and corporations. Her exceptional talent for creating individualized presentations is celebrated around the world. She has an amazing gift for creating any lettering style, whether Script, Uncial, Old English, Round Hand, and many others.
Susie-Melissa is an instructor and mentor and is considered a master among her peers. She is actively involved in preserving and teaching the art form which she dearly loves. Susie-Melissa is instrumental in helping countless women launch their own successful calligraphy businesses. She currently teaches calligraphy at Southern Methodist University Informal Education classes, and has taught at the University of Texas - Dallas, and other locations in the Dallas/Forth Worth metroplex. In addition, she offers classes and seminars in calligraphy and gift wrap on location at Calligraphic Arts Design Studio and Gift Wrap Studio. Susie-Melissa has provided gift wrap services to Highland Park and Dallas customers for over twenty years.
